Krishna Janmashtami

This festival is celebrated because of the birth of Lord Krishna on this day. Lord Krishna has played a great role in molding the history of India and has given us great learning about life. He is the creator of Shrimad Bhagwad Geeta which is a great religious text in India and it is believed that there are solutions to all the problems of the world in this like other holy books. If you are present in Delhi during the celebration, you will find the temples extremely decorated. You can be treated with Makhan-mishri and various other items which offer to Lord Krishna as ambrosia.

Maha Shivratri

Maha Shivratri is the celebration of the marriage of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. They are the epitome of love along with Radha-Krishna and Laxmi-Narayana. Lord Shiva is known for extreme loyalty in the relationship and there is a grand celebration in the temples on this day. You must ask your guide to take you to at least one of the Lord Shiva temples on Maha Shivratri.

Karva Chauth
