To achieve this dream of hers, she attended Mumbai’s Arya Vidya Mandir School and then joined Communication & Media Arts, Mumbai, albeit, she was expelled from the Institute due to her poor attendance. Bhumi has also attended the Whistling Woods International Institute of Film, where she learned acting.

At the age of 18, Bhumi came to know about a vacancy at Yash Raj Films. Initially, she was rejected for the post when she applied, but after a month, she was called in to join as an Assistant casting director. She served in the same position for 6 years and initially got a chance to get into acting.
Bhumi Pednekar’s Family
Bhumi belonged to a Hindu Family and was one of the two daughters of her parents. Her father, Late Satish Pednekar was a Maharashtrian, and her mother Sumitra Pednekar was from Haryanvi Background. Her twin sister, Samiksha Pednekar, is very close to Bhumi and is a Lawyer by profession.

Bhumi made her Bollywood debut in the year 2015 with Dum Laga Ke Haisha, alongside Ayushmaan Khurrana. This romantic comedy became a hit, and her character of Sandhya Verma, who was an obese girl, was liked by the audience. In the same year, Bhumi also appeared in a web series ‘Man’s World.’
