New Update of Apex Legend – A plethora of features to look out for
Apex legend is one of the many multiplayer games out there. Although, its dynamic nature makes it one of a kind. The gameplay of Apex Legends is similar to games like Players Unknown Battlegrounds and Fortnite, where a set number of players are sent into a map. Though unlike its brothers, Apex Legends offer the set of 60 players and as from the latest update offers 4 modes of gameplay which are Practice, Unranked, Ranked and Solo mode

One of the main factors that everyone needs to master in order to ace such games is that making strategy starts ways before your character’s feet touch the virtual map. This is because of the factor that some regions in Apex Legends offer better loot than the others. Also, areas like Market, Broken Bridge, and Cage are some of the locations where gamers head straight for. So, if you are new to the FPS genre, then it is better to keep your distance from these regions.
As we all know, it has been almost 2 days since the latest update of Apex Legends is released. So, in this blog, we are going to cover a number of points which are added, nerfed or boosted to the characters, Map and weapons. So, without further ado, let’s jump right into it without worrying about your knees (the game doesn’t have fall damage, see what I did there)
Octane Town Takeover – Gauntlet Region
Our very own adrenaline junky, Octane, has found some new hobby apart from putting syringes filled with chemicals in his skull. In this new update, the map is going to feature a separate region which is designed by Octane. An area filled with jump pads, running ramps, a massive ring with fire blazing around it; perfect for those who crave sick tricks, flips and sky-high jumps. A must visit the area for every player out there, especially for those who are Pathfinder or Octane mains.

Don’t forget to tweet Origin and EA with your thoughts about such additions to the game. This might just motivate the developers enough to prepare such amazing landscapes with the taste of other Legends as well.
Here is a snap of how Octane’s Gauntlet of Fire looks like

Solo Mode
Finally, the wait is over! Solo Mode, which every hardcore Apex gamer was tweeting Origin for is live. Although, there’s a catch in it, Solo mode being a limited-time event, will be live for only 2 weeks. So, as soon as you are done reading this article, grab your energy drink, put your thinking caps on and smash that shortcut of Apex Legends on your desktop.
As far as I’ve experienced, Solo mode is pretty dope. Matchmaking is fast as frick (even for Asian gamers) and you, probably being a gutter-tier gamer, will find new matches quickly to die at the hands of some Twitch-TTV scumbag. But, the best part about all this is that you will not have to deal with teammates who are as bad as a noob and you will get the complete chance to excel your skills and polish them nicely.
Better chances of Sleek Legendary Skins
For those who are like me and are always on the run to make your in-game avatar as classy as one can think of then now is the time. With this new update, the door to Special Iron Crown Collection Pack is open for us Glamour connoisseur.

This also is a limited-time content for Kings’ Canyon, which is specifically mentioned on EA’s official website. In these collection packs, there is a 50-50% chance of getting an Epic Item or a Legendary Item.

It will feature 24 new items and you do not have to worry about getting duplicate items. Moreover, no common or rare crap makes it a complete win-win scenario.

Fresh challenges
If you were feeling bored by those simple challenges of attaining measly amounts of damage or performing finisher with a certain character then these Iron Crown challenges which get your blood pumping and you will gain that long lost adrenaline rush once again.
In this 2 week period, players will be competing and challenging other gamers from all around the world while gaining Iron Crown Event Badges and Crowns (trust me, we won’t ever get these with our set of skills and jaded reflexes).

Double XP weekends
Just like the good old Halo days’, Origin has introduced Double XP weekends. Just as the term implies, Gamers will be earning double XP, both for Account level as well as Battle Pass Progression. This will help us to climb the ranks quickly. BUT, this is something that only the top 5 finishers and winners will receive. This will be available for the first time on August 16th, 10 A.M. Pacific Time or 10:30 P.M. Indian Standard Time and will run on till August 19th with same time frames as of its initiation.
So, fellow Gamers, this is what you are going to witness with the new update of Apex Legends. Experience the best out of it by spending this weekend sitting in your gaming chair and smashing some virtual enemies for the win.
